R, a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics.
R compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS. To download R, please start from the Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN) webpage. When starting a R session, the basic R environment appears with only the R console window opened:
R comes with some standard packages that are installed when you install R. In the menu above the R console, just click on “Packages” then “load packages” to open a dialogbox with an alphabetically ordered list of installed packages. If ERP does not appear in the list, that means you have to install the package. Just like ERP, many additional R packages are available on the CRAN, each of them dedicated to a statistical method or a specific data analysis issue.
To install the package ERP directly from the CRAN (an internet connection is needed), just type the following command into the R console:
If this is the first connection with the CRAN, the installation process will make you choose a mirror site for the CRAN; just follow the instructions.
